5 km out of Buja town are the beaches of Lake Tanganyika. The third largest freshwater lake in the world (by volume) and the second deepest, deserted weekdays but crowded with locals on weekends! Need to be on the lookout for crocs and hippos when swimming! The dog always with us off course when going to the beach!
